Features that influences the outstanding performance of the factory tuned O.S.
SPEED 21VZ-B V-Spec engine.
- A first for model engines, the magnesium heat sink head weighs 15% less
than aluminum and runs cooler as well.
- A double adjustment carb allows for ultra-fine tuning for demanding race
conditions.
- A special DLC coated crankshaft with a pressed in Tungsten disc in the counterweight
for improved balance and a lower level of vibration.
- Precision ceramic ball bearing is incorporated which greatly reduces frictional
losses -the same type of bearings that are used in full size racing car engines.
- Three carburetor venture inserts are available in 7, 8 and 9mm throat diameters.
The inserts have a red anodized finish - the O.S. SPEED brand color with throat
diameter laser marked on each insert.
Among the many special features incorporated in the O.S. SPEED 21VZ-B V-Spec
engine are a black anodized finish crankcase, a Magnesium heat sink head which
is lighter and runs cooler, a specially coated crankshaft, a ceramic bearing
and a Tungsten weight pressed into the crankshaft counterweight for added balance
and smoother operation. These features in conjunction with a double adjustment
carburetor result in an engine that under such exacting conditions, reaches
the pinnacle of World Competition. This secret weapon will be sure to catapult
your 1/8th Scale Off-Road Buggy into a World Class vehicle.
