The YS DZ 175 is the newest design and the strongest engine in the Yamada range. DZ175 was developed for serious aerobatics competition and large IMAC style aircraft. It differs from previous YS Engines in that it does not use a high pressure fuel system but rather a true fuel pump.

More consistent performance than the glow plug, which relies on compression for a catalytic reaction. The CDI system uses a capacitor discharge, electronically timed and controlled to vastly improve ignition and overall performance. Electronic timing burns fuel much more efficiently, consuming less fuel for each flight. Immediate benefits include: more engine power, improved RPM, lower fuel consumption.
